Cancellation & Refund Policy – Kidology, Inc.

Kidology, Inc. (“Kidology,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Kidology mobile application, website (kidology.app), and related services, features, and content (collectively, the “Service”). This Cancellation & Refund Policy (this “Policy”) explains how to cancel your subscription and the circumstances in which a refund may be available.

Last updated: 20.06.2026

Cancellation and refund methods differ depending on how you subscribed. Section 1 below applies only if you subscribed directly through our website. Section 2 applies only if you subscribed through an app distribution platform, such as the Apple App Store or Google Play. These sections are mutually exclusive — only one will apply to your particular subscription.

This Policy is an integral part of our Terms of Use and is binding on all users upon acceptance of the Terms of Use. Any translation of the English version of this Policy is provided solely for convenience; in case of any discrepancy, the English version prevails.

1. Subscriptions Purchased Through Our Website

Kidology currently offers two subscription plans purchased directly through our website: a monthly plan, and a 3-month plan billed at a reduced rate. Both plans automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.

1.1 Cancelling Your Subscription

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by emailing support@kidology.app. To avoid being charged for the next billing period, you must cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date.

Please be aware that your subscription does not cancel automatically if you delete the app. You must cancel your subscription before deleting the app, or your subscription will continue to renew and you will continue to be charged.

1.2 Refund Eligibility — The 30-Day Engagement Guarantee

All purchases are otherwise final. However, if you are unsatisfied with the Service, you may be eligible for a refund of your most recent charge if you contact us within 30 days of that charge and demonstrate that you genuinely engaged with the Service and it did not help you.

To be eligible, you must show that, during the period covered by the charge you are seeking a refund for, you:

  • Completed onboarding and at least one assessment within the app; and
  • Opened and used the app on at least 5 separate occasions.

We assess this using your account’s own activity records, so you do not need to submit separate proof yourself — simply contact us at support@kidology.app and we will review your account’s activity history. If your account meets the criteria above and you tell us the Service did not help you, we will approve your refund request. This 30-day engagement guarantee applies in the same way to both the monthly plan and the 3-month plan.

If your account does not meet the engagement criteria above — for example, if you did not complete onboarding or an assessment, or opened the app fewer than 5 times — we may decline the refund request, because we are unable to confirm that you gave the Service a genuine opportunity to help you. We may still consider such requests on a case-by-case basis, and your rights under any applicable cooling-off period (Section 3) are not affected by this engagement standard.

This 30-day window runs from the date of the specific charge you are seeking a refund for — either your initial subscription charge, or a subsequent renewal charge.

1.3 How Refunds Are Processed

Following receipt of your refund request, we will review your account’s activity history against the criteria in Section 1.2 and notify you by email whether your request has been approved. If approved, we will credit the refund to your original payment method. Refunds typically take around 14 days to process.
Approving a refund cancels your subscription as of the date of approval; it does not retroactively cancel access you already had during the refunded period.

2. Subscriptions Purchased Through an App Distribution Platform

If you subscribed to Kidology through an app distribution platform — such as the Apple App Store or Google Play — your purchase is billed and managed by that platform, and you must cancel and request refunds directly through that platform rather than through Kidology.

  • Apple App Store: Manage or cancel your subscription via “Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions” on your Apple device, or visit https://getsupport.apple.com/ to request a refund directly from Apple. Apple is typically able to consider refund requests made within 30 days of the purchase date, at Apple’s discretion.
  • Google Play: Manage or cancel your subscription via the “Subscriptions” tab in the Google Play app, or follow the instructions at https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637 to request a refund directly from Google.

Kidology is not able to directly process cancellations or refunds for subscriptions billed through an app distribution platform. Please contact Apple or Google support directly.

3. Statutory Cooling-Off Period

This Section applies only to subscriptions purchased directly through our website. If you purchased your subscription through an app distribution platform, please contact that platform as described in Section 2.

Many countries and states give consumers a legal right to cancel certain purchases and receive a refund within a “cooling-off period,” separate from and in addition to the engagement guarantee in Section 1.2. The terms and length of this period differ between jurisdictions. The examples below are illustrative only, are not exhaustive, and may change based on applicable law; the law of your jurisdiction always controls.

  • California or Connecticut residents: if you cancel before midnight of the third business day following your purchase date, we will fully refund your payment, with no engagement requirement.
  • EEA or UK residents: you have the right to cancel your subscription and request a full refund, without giving any reason and with no engagement requirement, within 14 calendar days of your purchase date — unless you expressly consented to immediate access to the Service and acknowledged that you lose this right of withdrawal by doing so.

To exercise a cooling-off right, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw by a clear, unequivocal statement sent to email: support@kidology.app
It is sufficient to contact us before the applicable cooling-off period expires; you do not need to wait for our response.
Cooling-off periods generally do not apply to one-time digital purchases that have already been fully accessed or downloaded, such as standalone workbooks or digital guides purchased outside of a subscription, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

4. General Terms

  • Refunds are issued to your original payment method only.
  • We may decline refund requests that we reasonably believe are fraudulent, abusive, or made in bad faith, including repeated refund requests across multiple accounts.
  • This Policy does not limit any statutory right you may have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot be excluded by contract.
  • Free trials convert automatically to paid subscriptions at the end of the trial period unless cancelled beforehand; the engagement guarantee in Section 1.2 and the cooling-off rights in Section 3 apply to the resulting paid charge in the same way as any other charge.
